Mumbling to the Universe

Lately, I feel caught in between two generations. That is, I have never been more aware of the fact that while I am about to become a parent myself, I am also still a daughter. And sadly, it truly feels like one role too many for me right now. Tonight, as with many nights of late, I grapple with how I can give my son everything when my parents also want a share.
